MANUFACTURING FACILITIES
Our cutting-edge products are meticulously crafted at our integrated steel plants located in Jharkhand and Odisha. The Odisha plant, situated at Village Lamloi, PO-Garvana, Rajgangpur, spans approximately 83.4 acres. Strategically positioned along State Highway 10, the plant is approximately 30 kilometers from the steel city of Rourkela, offering unparalleled access to a well-developed industrial ecosystem, excellent infrastructure, and proximity to skilled and unskilled labour.
The Jharkhand plant, located at Ratanpur, Kandra, Chandil Road, Saraikela, covers an area of approximately 60.87 acres. Our project site is conveniently situated just 13 kilometers away from Gamharia under Seraikela, Kharsawan district, ensuring seamless access to raw materials, including iron ore and coal.
RAW MATERIAL SECURITY
OCL Iron & Steels Limited has further bolstered its operational efficiency by acquiring an Iron Ore Mine in Joda, Barbil, Odisha, boasting reserves of 7 million tons. This strategic acquisition ensures a steady and cost-effective supply chain, thereby bolstering our competitiveness in the market and mitigating risks associated with raw material procurement.
IMPORT/EXPORT OPERATIONS
In addition to our domestic operations, OCL Iron & Steels Limited is actively engaged in the import/ export business, leveraging its expertise to capitalize on emerging market opportunities. We specialize in exporting iron ore fines and pellets from prominent ports, including Dhamra, Gangavaram, Gopalpur, Haldia, Paradip and Vizag, primarily catering to the Chinese market. Furthermore, we import coal from various countries, supplying it to domestic steel plants located in Bihar, Jharkhand, Odisha, and West Bengal.
FUTURE OUTLOOK
Looking ahead, the promoters of OCL Iron & Steels Limited aim to expand production capacity, enhance operational efficiency, and undertake strategic capital expenditures (capex) to manufacture value-added steel products. Our vision encompasses the operationalization of our coal mines and, in the longer term, the development of our iron ore mines to secure a steady supply of key raw materials from captive sources, thereby ensuring sustainable growth and competitiveness in the market.
